Mold and Your Belongings
Mold is usually the second problem, not the first: something was wet for long enough. Remediating the building is one job, and deciding what happens to everything in it is another. CCR is IICRC certified in mold.

Contents come out before the work starts
Remediation is disruptive, and anything left in the room either gets in the way or picks up what is being disturbed. Contents are photographed and inventoried, taken out, and held at our Vancouver facility while the building is dealt with.

Some Things Do Not Come Back
Porous material that has been wet and growing for a long time is often not worth restoring, and we would rather tell you that at the walkthrough than bill you to clean something twice. What can be cleaned, gets cleaned. What cannot, gets written down so it is on the claim.

Common questions
Do you do the mold remediation itself?
The building side is remediation. What we handle is everything standing in the rooms: contents photographed and inventoried, packed out before containment goes up, cleaned at our facility, and returned once the property is ready. CCR is IICRC certified in mold.
What usually cannot be saved?
Hard, non-porous items almost always come back. Porous material that has been damp for a long time frequently is not worth restoring, and we will tell you which category each thing is in at the walkthrough rather than clean it twice.
What happens to the things that cannot be restored?
They go on the inventory as a loss, with photographs, so they reach your adjuster as claimed items rather than quietly going missing.
