Pack-out

Pack-Out, Storage and Pack-Back

The part of a loss nobody explains until it is happening: everything you own has to leave the building, live somewhere else for weeks or months, and come back in one piece. This is that job, and it is the whole reason CCR exists.

Nothing moves before it is written down

The inventory is the job. Every item is photographed where it stands and recorded before a hand goes on it, so there is a document of what you had and the condition it was in on the day. That record is what your adjuster works from, and it is what stops an argument three months later about whether the dresser was already scratched.

It also protects us. A crew that photographs everything before it moves has nothing to be vague about afterwards.

Wrapped for the journey and the wait

Padding first, then plastic, then banding. Furniture goes on moving blankets and gets shrink-wrapped over the top; panels and mirrors are corner-protected and taped; smaller contents go into crates and totes that are labelled against the inventory.

The wrapping is not for the twenty-minute drive. It is for the months in storage afterwards, which is where most damage actually happens to contents that were packed in a hurry.

Stored in our own building

Everything comes to our facility at 11915 NE 56th Circle. It is not a rented unit somewhere and it is not spread across three subcontractors: it is one building with numbered timber storage vaults, our own crew in it, and your inventory attached to your load.

That matters when you need something back mid-repair. People do, constantly, and it is a five-minute job when the inventory is accurate and a bad afternoon when it is not.

Cleaned while it waits

Storage is not just parking. Contents are cleaned and deodorized at the facility while the building is being put right, so what comes back is not simply what left. Upholstery, rugs and clothing get their own methods.

Pack-back is the part people forget to ask about

Anyone can take things out of a house. Putting them back where they were, so the room looks like it did rather than like a storage unit, is the part that decides whether the job felt handled.

The crew that packs you out is the crew that packs you back. They know which room the sideboard came from because they carried it out of that room, and they have the photographs to check against. That is the single reason we do not subcontract this work.

One Company, One Crew, One Inventory

Photographed, inventoried, wrapped, moved, cleaned, stored and put back. Nobody hands your belongings to a third party halfway through, and nobody has to reconstruct what happened from someone else’s paperwork.

Graham, Tanner & Ashton were the crew who packed all of my contents back into my home. They were quick and efficient, and continually asked me questions to make sure items were being placed back in the areas needed.

Common questions

What is a pack-out?

Everything that is not the building itself is photographed and inventoried where it stands, wrapped and banded, and moved to our facility while the property is repaired. Then the same crew brings it back and puts it where it came from.

Where is my property kept?

At our own building at 11915 NE 56th Circle in Vancouver, Washington. It is not a rented unit and it is not split across subcontractors, so your inventory stays attached to your load.

How do you keep track of it all?

The inventory is the job. Every item is photographed before it moves and crates are labelled against that record, which is what makes retrieving one thing mid-repair straightforward.
